Precision modelling.

The Lofter CAD engine generates precise and smooth 3D surfaces from a small set of data input.

To design hulls and appendages Lofter uses the same basic technique, simple and intuitive, with smart tools to optimize the various design steps.

The output is a complete hull geometry analysis in upright conditions, charts and high-density tables of offsets for third-party 3D modellers or renderers.

Design flexibility.

The Lofter interface is studied to edit objects with the classic Yacht design technique: to draw faired and good-looking hulls by sections, lines, conceptual simplicity and… common sense.

Its powerful 3D surface modeller, easy to handle and configure to generate smooth lines even with complex sections, gives the plus.

Quick object tuning.

The surface shape can be tuned in a very direct way and few clicks are necessary to modify/optimize completely the object or to generate parent series.

Reverse and parametric design.

With this innovative mode, Lofter reverses the traditional design loop: applying automatic calculation algorithms, you can change the existing surface model to achieve a “given” Area Curve distribution, or to realize “assigned values” for the Total Mass and longitudinal position of the Buoyancy Center.
